The Blue Crab Restaurant
This charming restaurant specialises in all things fishy, from Yarmouth crab, lobster salads and local garlic mackerel fillets, to seared scallops with homemade pesto, and sole. For an especially popular taste of the coast, try the restaurant’s homemade smoked fish chowder. Alternatively, for a lighter bite, choose from the daily specials board where, at lunch, there’s always a bowl of mussels or a Yarmouth crab sandwich to be had, and many of the meals are glutenfree. The Blue Crab also offers a little nipper’s menu for children. The friendly team ensures that everyone who visits feels welcome and relaxed. Complementing the food is a lovely selection of wine, cider and ale, many of which also hail from the Isle of Wight. The Blue Crab is open for lunch and evening meals throughout the year and also runs a takeaway fish and chip service.
