The Greets Inn
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants

Duncan and Natalie Entwistle have created a hard-to-come-by atmosphere at this 14th- Century English country inn. Their tremendous energy is reflected in the lively, relaxing ambience you'll find inside and outside in their beautiful secluded gardens - perfect for enjoying a true taste of Sussex, based on quality and value. Our starters, from an impressive selection, were baked scallops, tiger prawns and mussels in a Mornay sauce, along with a buffalo mozzarella, vine tomato and basil salad with a balsamic reduction. We followed this with a breast of corn-fed chicken served with sauté potatoes and roasted summer vegetables and tender calf's liver with colcannon potatoes. Although now feeling full and satisfied, I couldn't resist the delicate mango sorbet with elderflower jelly and blueberry compote for dessert. The warm pear, cherry and almond frangipane looked equally irresistible. Some quality real ales and ciders helped the food go down, and we agreed we'd soon be back to try more of this delicious rustic food.
