The Bell is a delightful Grade II listed, cosy, traditional English country pub in the heart of the town centre, with real open fires and a warm, welcoming, friendly atmosphere. They pride themselves on their superb authentic Thai cuisine, Cask Marque-approved traditional Fuller's real ales and a fine selection of wines from around the world.

The mouth-watering food is beautifully prepared with enormous attention to detail in the presentation, as well as the delicious, exotic array of spices and succulent flavours that represent authentic Thai. The menu is wide and varied, the food is freshly prepared to order and the table service is friendly and efficient. They also offer takeaways, with the added bonus of enjoying an excellent pint while you wait.

The Bell also has five stylish and comfortable bed and breakfast rooms, each with ensuite power shower, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Prices are reasonable making it an ideal place to stay for business trips or family outings, with the main British Rail line to London just a five-minute walk, and easy access to the M4, M40 and M25. The Bell hosts regular live music evenings and will be holding a real ale festival ready for the launch of the new garden in early summer.

Drinkers and diners alike will enjoy the comfortable environment, the friendly staff and the sociable atmosphere of a good old traditional country pub - a secret haven in the centre of the town.
