Since opening, this imaginative and creative restaurant has attracted a strong and loyal following. This is due to its personal service, great location and intimate surroundings - not to mention its top-class food.

Dating back to the 19th Century, the restaurant has had its fair share of different owners. Now, proprietors Rodney and Yvonne Dawson welcome you into the eatery that they fondly call Jasper's. Both the bar and à la carte menus offer delicious cuisine at prices that are very reasonable. From the à la carte menu a real treat lies in store in the form of the pan-fried sea bass fillets, resting on chump potatoes with a fish and vegetable jus - a dish that just screams with sophistication. Another mouthwatering option - this time from the bar menu - is the pan-fried tenderloin of pork, dressed with a thyme gravy and parsnip crisps, all served with a platter of seasonal vegetables and new potatoes. This is, quite simply, a meal that stands apart from any of the usual lunchtime fare that you may have experienced in the past. A Sunday lunch menu is also on offer - a three-course luncheon featuring a choice of different meats and side orders - all for the affordable price of £17.95.

Offering cuisine with a modern twist, Jasper's is certain to satisfy your hunger in style.
Open: Weds-Fri noon-2.30pm, 7pm-11pm (last orders 9pm); Sat 7pm-11pm (last orders 9pm); Sun noon-3pm (last orders 1.30pm)
