Marco Pierre White Steakhouse – Yateley
Housed within the traditional 17th-century premises of the stylish Casa Hotel in Yateley, the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill offers visitors a comfortable and inviting gastro retreat that’s perfect for dining parties of any size, be it an intimate dinner for two, casual lunch, milestone celebration, or corporate booking.
Finished to a high standard, the restaurant’s traditional interior is welcoming and relaxed, with exposed beams and woodwork, warm lighting and an original fireplace. The setting has been overlaid with pieces of statement black and white artwork and white linen-dressed tables, establishing an atmosphere of quiet sophistication.
Put together by Marco Pierre White himself, the menu showcases predominantly classic British fare and makes use of outstanding seasonal produce. First-rate steaks are at the heart of the offering, with cuts sourced from Royal Warrant-appointed butcher Campbell Brothers. Starters are tantalising and varied, so diners have the chance to tuck into the likes of warm baked Camembert with toasted sourdough, roasted vine tomatoes and vintage balsamico, or Mr White’s French onion soup with Gruyère and croutons.
For mains, take something from the range of steaks, such as richly marbled 10oz rib-eye or firm and juicy 8oz rump, both complemented by roasted vine tomatoes and a choice of triple-cooked chips, pommes frites, or green salad, and add a sauce or side depending on your appetite. Alternatively, why not share the gold-standard of meat cuts, a 16oz Chateaubriand, between two? Order sides of grilled woodland mushrooms or grilled shrimps in garlic and rosemary butter to really elevate proceedings to the next level. Those in search of classic British fare might opt for something from the range of seasonal specials and modern British dishes, plumping for the likes of steakhouse burger, market fi sh of the day, or hickory-smoked babyback ribs.
The restaurant’s à la carte is complemented by an enticing dessert menu, and well-curated cocktail and wine lists. From Monday to Saturday, lunch service ends at 2pm, and at 3pm on a Sunday, making way for the restaurant’s popular afternoon tea offering, which is served from 2pm until 5pm.
