Jolly Farmer

The Jolly Farmer is popular all year round thanks to its roaring fires, spacious garden, superb food, friendly staff and well-stocked bar, and is a hub for the community. This is especially true in the summer, when the pub puts on hog roasts and barbecues in its beer garden. Whatever time of year you visit, you'll find a tempting selection of home-cooked dishes on the seasonal menu and specials board, along with a selection Fuller's ales at the bar. We began with Cornish Orchard mussels with lemongrass, coconut and chilli breadcrumbs, and flavoursome roasted butternut squash and feta salad. We then enjoyed smoked haddock with creamy chive mash, wilted spinach, poached free-range egg and wholegrain mustard sauce, and aromatic curried sweet potato and coconut stew with basmati rice.
