The King's Head
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of Guildford’s town centre, this attractive venue draws in a regular crowd from the surrounding area. Refurbished in 2017, the bright and airy interior is especially appealing on chilly autumn evenings. It’s the perfect spot to gather with friends for a game of darts and a refreshing pint of Fuller’s cask ale or Cornish Orchards cider. The menu is full of tasty pub classics, but for group gatherings we’d have to recommend the sharing platters. Choose a slider or charcuterie platter, or opt for the vegetarian platter with olives, hummus, barrel-aged feta, baba ganoush and flatbread. The King’s Head also serves a scrumptious Sunday roast, but we’d recommend working up an appetite first, perhaps with a walk in the Ornamental Gardens in nearby Stoke Park. Visitors with pups are welcome to dine inside the pub, but on sunny days guests can also take advantage of the picturesque courtyard garden.
