Originally built as a family home in the early 1920s, The Golden Bowler is a well-established free house and restaurant and has been owned and operated by the same family for the last 26 years.

A large lounge bar provides a comfortable place to relax and sample something from the bar menu or enjoy one of the many fine wines, traditional beers or real ales on offer. Both the bar and restaurant provide a relaxed dining experience.

The menu offers customers a choice of freshly cooked, traditional fare and is complemented by the chef's specials. To begin your meal, choose from a selection of traditional starters, all under £5, including home-made pâté or soup.

For your second course, choose from either the specials board or regular menu, both offering a selection of traditional meals ranging from £4.50 for a ploughman's, to £12.75 for a fillet steak. There is also a wide variety of sandwiches, jackets, salads and steaks. Finish your meal from a selection of ice
creams, hot puddings or gâteaux.

The Golden Bowler also plays host to various forms of entertainment, including a well-attended fortnightly pub quiz, live music once a month and a very popular Friday night meat raffle.

In support of this, The Golden Bowler has a large car park, good-sized garden and excellent disabled facilities
