Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Owner Emma and her staff greet both locals and visitors with open arms. Inviting open log fires and cosy leather sofas allow you to relax and enjoy a beer in the bar area. Reside in the large dining area and enjoy scenic views from the panoramic windows as you guide yourself through the menu. For hungry little diners, fill tummies with tomato and basil fusilli pasta, roasted chicken breast or, for the more adventurous palate, maybe try a mini 4oz sirloin steak? Not forgetting yourself of course - try duck and Parma ham parcels to start, followed by pork fillet stuffed with black pudding on apple and thyme mash, or maybe portabella mushrooms stuffed with red onion and chive couscous, topped with goat's cheese? Watch the children tire themselves out in the large outside play area while you relax and enjoy the extensive selection of fine wines and real ales on offer. A traditional roast lunch is available on Sundays and, with the patio available for private barbecues throughout the summer, it's no surprise that Brigadier Gerard is so popular - it's furlongs ahead of the rest.
