Chinese and East Asian
Though the interior of this intimate Chinese restaurant is free from fuss and fancy, don't be fooled. Since it opened in October last year, Little China's authentic cuisine has already made its name as some of the best around. The food is affordable and the focus here is passionately on the dishes, served by sociable, attentive staff who make it their objective to ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your visit, offering personal and courteous service. Little China is famed locally for its excellent buffet, with guests able to eat as much as they like for a mere £4.95 for lunch and £8.85 for dinner. There is no scrimping or inadequate number of dishes here, instead Little China offers a selection of 30 lunchtime meals, with at least 70 available to feast on in the evening. The dishes are an eclectic mix of the very best in Asian cuisine, with dishes originating from China, Malaysia, India, Japan and Singapore to name but a few. Select from a range of starters that includes crispy seaweed, spring rolls with a variety of fillings, crispy aromatic duck, sweet and sour soup and kung po spare ribs. The starters alone spoil guests for choice, but the selection of mains is even more extensive and varied, with lamb, prawn, pork, chicken, beef, fish and duck dishes available, as well as a great range for vegetarians. Why not go for lamb with ginger and spring onion, sweet and sour prawns, Thai spicy chicken, or vegetables with an oyster sauce. All the old favourites are present, along with some more unusual creations. If pleasant service, affordable delicious fare and a relaxing dining experience are your idea of a good evening out, then Little China is definitely for you.
