High Street, Selborne, GU34 3JR

Owners Nick and Hayley Carter have been at the helm of The Selborne Arms since January 2001, and have established a reputation for serving exquisite food and drink in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The Carters are keen supporters of Hampshire fare and source the majority of the produce used in the kitchen from as close to their doorstep as possible. Expect to see Mr Whitehead’s cider and apple juice, real ale from many superb local microbreweries, wine from Priors Dean Vineyard, cheese from Lyburn Farmhouse, meat from local farms and much more. Considering the level of care taken over provenance, it’s no surprise that The Selborne Arms has won so many awards over the years.

Whether you prefer the cosy atmosphere of the bars or the more intimate dining room, you can dine from a superb menu that offers a range of traditional and innovative dishes that meet the venue’s high standards. There’s a play area in the garden for children, and a wishing well barbecue is available for parties in the summer too. If you need another reason to visit, consider heading along to Zig-Zag Fest, Selborne’s annual beer and wine festival, which is part-hosted by the pub and takes place during the first weekend of October.
