Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
With a history going back to the 1700s it is reputedly one of the oldest pubs in Chorleywood. The pub has been run by Karen Stevens for the past ten years; she is honest and friendly in her approach, as are the other staff, who were just as attentive on the night of our visit. The pub's history doesn't go unnoticed either with locals and staff keen to tell stories of ghosts and previous owners.
The White Horse sticks mainly to its traditional foundations with the menu featuring Sunday roasts, home-made lasagne and sausage and mash. However, it has a few surprises with oriental seafood dim sum and breaded Brie making appearances.
The White Horse is a traditional real ale pub, which also holds special events such as live music, Friday night steak nights and quiz nights on a Tuesday. With prices kept reasonable and a traditional menu to choose from, you'll be happy to visit The White Horse again.
