Eagerly recommended by local residents and fi rst-time visitors alike, Sathi Dine is a real gem of a restaurant. The brainchild of successful entrepreneur Mohammed Noor, this venue thrives under the supervision of this award-winning chef. Stylish, modern decor and friendly, attentive staff set the scene for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The extensive menu features a huge selection of dishes, leaving guests with the truly tricky dilemma of choosing just a few. All the favourites are there, prepared with finesse, as are many innovative variations of well-known dishes. My eye was caught by batak (duck) tikka, marinated in spiced yoghurt and roasted in the tandoor. There is also a wealth of exciting special dishes, including several of the chef’s own recipes, such as Bangladeshi spicy lamb, chicken or prawns with lemon. A vast array of sides and a wide choice of different types of rice and bread are available to complement the main course. Everything is prepared from fresh ingredients and is attractively presented while being free from artificial colouring.
The wine list has also benefitted from Mohammed Noor’s expert attention, and showcases producers from the region and from all over the world. A cocktail from the list of well-chosen classics makes the perfect start to a meal, and teas and coffees form the ideal conclusion. Restaurant bookings can be made online and takeaway is available, meaning you can enjoy Sathi Dine’s wonderful cuisine from the comfort of your own home.
