The Hollist Arms is a pretty 18th-century pub situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Lodsworth, West Sussex. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the pub sits right on the green at the heart of the village.

The Hollist prides itself on offering simple, traditional pub food. The menu is concise and includes pub favourites such as the famous pie of the day served with creamy mash, greens and gravy. You’ll also find regularly changing seasonal dishes such an pan-fried fillet of cod on a bed of roasted butternut squash risotto, with truffle oil and Parmesan. All meals are prepared using the best local produce.

There’s a large restaurant area with an open fire and comfy leather armchairs, a cosy snug, function rooms upstairs, and a bar that’s often thronged with locals. Lodsworth is home to the award-winning microbrewery, Langham Brewery, and so their ales feature heavily on the bar. There is a selection of lagers and a carefully curated wine list featuring some interesting choices that are available by the glass.

Situated just off the A272, The Hollist Arms is perfectly placed for events at Cowdray and Goodwood, or antiquing trips to Petworth, meaning it’s a great pit-stop when visiting the area. It’s off the beaten track but still easily accessible.
