Tudor Restaurant & Tearooms
This unmissable venue is tucked away on Whitstable’s vibrant Harbour Street. I visited on a sunny spring morning and was instantly taken with the traditional Tudor frontage. The historical theme continues inside, where the ceiling and walls are criss-crossed with exposed wooden beams and a sea of tables with gingham tablecloths waits. I settled by a lovely log fire and enjoyed a hearty full English breakfast, paired with a refreshing pot of loose-leaf Earl Grey tea. For those visiting later in the day, the menu is bursting with local seasonal produce and fresh fish. Visitors can choose from an excellent range of light bites, or indulge in a pot of tea and homemade cakes and scones. The team also offers a spectacular roast dinner every day with all the trimmings included, and there are plenty of children’s options to encourage little ones to dine.
