6 Little East Street, Brighton, BN1 1HT
Northern Lights is a quirky bar and restaurant housed in an old fisherman's cottage just a stone's throw from Brighton's seafront. It is a culinary gem that offers something truly different. The menu is packed with delights from Scandinavia, including hearty beef meatballs, locally sourced fresh fish dishes and, of course, Nordic-style open sandwiches. The sautéed reindeer is a popular choice too; reared by the owners' family in Lapland, it is tender, succulent and definitely worth a try.

With regular live music and changing art exhibitions by local artists, Northern Lights is a wonderful place to while away an evening. Don't leave without trying their famous house vodka shots too - the smoky terva, salty liquorice and fisu are all surprisingly tasty
