The King and I Thai restaurant is the jewel in the crown of Brighton's seafront eateries. The polar opposite of traditional fish and chip shops and 24-hour cafés, this award-winning restaurant brings a bit of variety and Far Eastern culture to the famous seaside strip.

Inside the restaurant, you are taken away from the pebbled beach and into an inviting and authentic Thai paradise, with traditional wood carvings and charming scenic paintings on the walls creating a relaxed and cosy ambience - the perfect setting for any dinner occasion. The menu is one of the most extensive of Brighton's Thai restaurants, and boasts traditional noodle dishes, such as pad Thai and pad si ew, beautifully cooked Thai curries, vegetarian options including vibrant stir-fries and salads, and the notably impressive fresh seafood dishes. The presentation of all dishes matches the elaborate decor of the restaurant.

The authentic vibe of the restaurant is reflected in the entertainment it stages; every Friday and Saturday, guests can be treated to an unobtrusive, five-minute traditional dance performance by a fully trained Thai dancer. Establishedover ten years ago by the lovely Ms Tuff, The King and I has played host to a variety of Brighton's most famous faces, and it seems they have got it right; this restaurant is the perfect place for anyone looking for a deliciousmeal and a bit of Thai authenticity.
