Located in one of the most vibrant parts of Brighton, the Dorset Street Bar is a stylish yet entirely unpretentious venue serving delicious fare. Rather resembling a chic Parisian brasserie, the interior is inviting and fresh with outside street seating - perfect for indulging in a bit of summertime people-watching while sipping on a chilled lager or glass of wine. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive and the atmosphere, while lively, is also pleasantly laid-back, with a clientele consisting of local bohemian folk as well as visitors to Brighton.

The Dorset Street Bar is known for its fantastic seafood, particularly the moules mariniere, served with a mouth-watering combination of shallots, garlic, white wine and topped off with fresh cream and parsley. Also on offer are breakfasts, sandwiches, light snacks, salads and Sunday roasts, as well as a great range of veggie and meat dishes including deluxe burgers served in homemade focaccia bread. Families are warmly welcomed, with a special mini version of the menu available for children. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced, and all of the food is reasonably priced, which means you can treat yourself to a homemade dessert too - if the sticky toffee and date pudding with butterscotch sauce and whipped cream doesn't tempt you, nothing will. Though it's true that the location alone attracts customers, the Dorset Street Bar's eclectic menu and affable atmosphere are huge bonuses. The Dorset Street Bar is truly a breath of fresh air.
