The Laine Deli is a personal favourite of mine. Nestled in the maze of North Laine, it’s the perfect spot for soaking up the bustle of Brighton from the window seats or from the Mediterranean-style outdoor patio. This cosy independent eatery offers a relaxed and welcoming setting for breakfasts, brunches, lunches and tea breaks, and serves a wide selection of wholesome and delicious dishes, homemade smoothies and award-winning coffee. I ordered the Laine Salad – an assortment of five freshly made salads, including the best coleslaw I’ve ever eaten – and shared it with a friend alongside a delicious halloumi and fresh pesto baguette. As always, I was blown away by the richness of the flavours, the freshness of the produce and the generosity of the portions. The Laine Deli can cater for a range of dietary needs and preferences, and is sure to delight everyone.
