Carlito Burrito began serving street food in a food truck around Brighton and at festivals, before moving into their quirkily decorated premises in Brighton. Eclectic art and upcycled materials feature heavily, and the whole place is vibrant and colourful.

The authentic Mexican menu is varied and interesting. Start with a fresh rock oyster, pico de gallo and a tequila shot, or perhaps the totopos – homemade corn crisps served with a selection of dips and fresh guacamole. The menu features a range of tempting dishes. Try the ceviche of the day or fish tacos – the fish is lightly battered in Negra Modelo beer and served with chipotle sour cream and crispy cabbage. Main-course options include the succulent 48-hour-marinated arrachera steak, served with spring greens, as well as queso fundido, a Mexican fondue comprising rich melted cheese served in a volcanic rock mortar with fresh corn tortillas, guacamole and a selection of salsas. With a menu as authentic as this, customers have high hopes for the tequila selection and are never disappointed. Carlito Burrito stocks 20 different types of mezcal, and also serves incredible Margaritas. Don’t miss the seasonal flavoured tipples, which are all made with 100-per-cent agave tequila and organic agave syrup.

They can also cater for a variety of events, creating bespoke menus to ensure your celebration is memorable for all the right reasons.
