Inside this pretty thatched village pub there are two bar areas - a small, cosy adult-only area perfect for a quiet drink, and a separate large comfortable bar area. There is also a pleasant restaurant for a more intimate dining experience.

The main menu offers plenty to choose from, but there is also an excellent specials board and a very reasonably priced menu for the little ones. To start, why not try the grilled field mushroom topped with goat's cheese and bacon with pineapple and black pepper salsa, or perhaps Loch Fyne smoked Scottish salmon and baby spinach on a potato rosti. If you simply cannot decide, why not get involved in the tasty choice of sharing platters. From the main menu, the British ham hock and broad bean pie, and the smoked haddock, spinach and West Country Cheddar Florentine bake are similarly delicious - with the menu also boasting a whole host of gourmet burgers and steak options. If you have room for dessert then try the sumptuous trio of classic hot puddings, with the cheeseboard option providing a superb savoury alternative.

There is also a very good wine menu and a traditional roast every Sunday - two more reasons to swan in to The Swan Inn and explore this wholesome British pub.
