The Bridge Inn
The menu however is what sets this inn apart from other seemingly similar establishments. Starters of pigeon foie gras parcels and sea bass with prawn toast are perfectly prepared and wonderfully presented, as is their new sharing range. Tuck into a healthy bowl of mussels with your loved one or indulge in a delicious Camembert. Mains range from fresh fish and lamb through to duck breast served with a sumptuous bubble and squeak in a sweet and sour sauce with pan-fried leeks. But it is the specials board that deserves particular attention. Proudly displaying the locally caught fish of the day, the range is amazing - sea bass, plaice, turbot, mussels and skate wing all vie for your attention. We concluded a thoroughly pleasant evening with a dessert of Mint Aero cheesecake and rich chocolate brownie, followed by the Sussex cheeseboard, which sealed the promise of a return visit.
