69 High Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester, M4 1FS
The Blue Pig in Manchester's Northern Quarter only opened in 2012, but has quickly established itself as a fantastic place to meet and enjoy quirky, Parisianstyle surroundings. Whether you're sipping a classic cocktail, savouring the carefully selected wines, sampling the Continental beers or browsing the tempting food menu, you will feel comfortable and at ease here. The Blue Pig is open early each day - their freshly baked stuffed croissants are a breakfast-time must-try.

We were impressed with the stylish decor and friendly atmosphere; the manager, Adam, and his staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I selected from the 333 menu which changes weekly and offers three choices for each of the three courses. I began with The Blue Pig terrine and homemade bread, and followed it with Goan fish curry and sticky jasmine rice. Attractively presented, this dish proved to be a delicate blend of delicious fl avours. The finale of winter berry crumble featured perhaps the best creme anglaise this side of Paris.

I loved the deli counter, where guests can enjoy a selection of sharing boards or even build their own from the wonderful array of cheeses, patés, charcuteries and the like. Several special events are planned over the coming months - just in case you needed any additional reasons to visit
