The team at Puschka were pleased as punch to be voted 'Liverpool's Favourite Restaurant' at the last Liverpool Food & Drink Awards - and they've so much to be proud of. This relaxed, bohemian restaurant, located in the city's Georgian quarter, makes fine cuisine on-site from the freshest local ingredients, and prioritises superb service at all times. The people at Puschka aim to bring family and friends together with a warm, intimate dining experience - and many a happy customer can vouch for their success.

Perhaps start with wood pigeon, figs, blackberries, sherry and hazelnuts, or go for the delicious confit duck shepherd's pie with root-veg mash and Oxford sauce. Then you could move on to guinea fowl and bacon roulade with pork, sage and onion stuffing, indulgent duck-fat roast potatoes and roasted carrots. Fish lovers are sure to adore the sea trout from Liverpudlian fishmongers Harry Jesse and Son, served with langoustine bisque and crab and chervil potato cake. You can certainly be assured of quality and great provenance at Puschka - expect your seasonal vegetables to be supplied locally by the Pimbley family on Claremont Farm in the Wirral. What's more, everything from bread to ice cream is made on-site. Finish with burnt English vanilla custard and lavender shortbread, or melting chocolate pudding with sea-salted caramel and orange zest ice cream, and you're sure to sleep soundly when you finally sink into slumber after a fantastic evening out
