If the walls at The Kings Arms Hotel could talk, they would surely tell some fascinating stories. The pub has been in its spot on Broad Street since around 1350 and still has many of its original features. Once a den for sea captains and smugglers who would have arrived via Penryn Harbour, The Kings Arms Hotel also played host to Henry VIII's first wife, Catherine of Aragon, as well as prime minister and author Benjamin Disraeli. Today, landlords Tracey and Paul strive to continue the tradition of great hospitality. The varied food menu comprises everything from battered fish and chips to baguettes and pizza. The steak pie is a great option, featuring lots of tender meat, a lovely crisp pastry crust and Tracey's amazing homemade gravy. Accompanied by creamy mash and steamed veg, mine was a real home-cooked treat, enjoyed in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere
