The Café at The Walls
The aptly named Café at The Walls is nestled on Chester’s historic city walls, next to the striking Grade I listed Bridgegate. The polite, helpful staff, coupled with the bright, cheery decor, creates a welcoming ambience and makes every visit a delight. A range of home-cooked meals are prepared fresh to order, from tasty soup with crusty rolls to a truly excellent full English breakfast. There is an exciting daily specials board, but for those with a sweet-tooth we recommend the array of cakes or the traditional afternoon tea.
This family-run establishment offers a friendly reception to all visitors, and customers who bring their pups along will fi nd their furry friends welcomed in with a dog biscuit. In fi ne weather there’s also an attractive outdoor seating area, and the option of taking something nice to eat and drink while walking along the walls.
