The City Hotel's location is among the best of budget hotels in central London. With easy access to all major banks, financial institutions and commerce, it is incredibly convenient for business travellers. The hotel's conference venues can be hired by both small companies and large corporations for conferences, meetings, training, exhibitions and other events. It is also popular with tourists due to its proximity and travel connections to the most famed attractions in London, including London Bridge, the O2 Arena and Westminster, and is within walking distance of Liverpool Street station and Aldgate East station. Within the hotel are The Lane Bar and The Kapok Tree restaurant. The Lane is stylish yet comfortable, an excellent place to wind down with a couple of delectable cocktails. Not just open to guests, the bar also has an outdoor terrace on which you can enjoy a fresh smoothie or coffee. To stop those cocktails going to your head, The Kapok Tree offers a great variety of fresh, Asian-inspired food: sample the unique flavours of spice-battered fish fingers to start, followed by tender lamb chunks cooked with spinach and garlic. There are also options from closer to home, such as deliciously succulent sirloin steak. What's more, the food is just as good value as the rest of the hotel.
