Duke of Wellington

0.5 miles
94a Crawford Street, Marylebone, Central London , W1H 2HQ
Behind the Duke of Wellington's humble frontage lies a pub full of fantastic surprises. Its wooden floor, furniture and bar evoke notions of how a pub should be, while its modern art, vintage Sputnik lighting, electric-blue walls and large windows reveal the Duke has as much style as it does substance.

Order a real ale, quality cider or a tipple from the comprehensive wine list, then take a seat in the bar and choose from the ever-changing seasonal food menu. There's everything from confit duck leg salad with green beans, crispy pancetta, pomegranate and poached egg to a top-quality ploughman's. Perhaps even relax at one of the pub's outside tables and indulge in a spot of people-watching while you eat.

For a more formal dining experience, head upstairs to the Duke's intimate dining room. The menu features more locally sourced delights - you might find grilled native lobster with chips and sauce Choron, or artichoke barigoule with roast girolles, broad beans, Jersey Royals and goat's curd and tomato focaccia. The dining room can seat up to 25 guests and is available for private hire. The pub also serves a separate steak menu, Saturday brunch, Sunday roasts and an express lunch menu during the week (noon until 1.30pm) - perfect for those on the go.

You won't find anything pompous here; pretensions are replaced by the warming smiles of the staff, hearty food and prices that won't break the bank. A charming pub experience in the heart of the city
