We went for the authentic Golden Treasure platter to start with - a combination of chicken satay, prawn toast supreme, crispy wonton, and prawn tempura - all beautifully presented.
For our main course, my partner sampled one of the chef's specialities, the grilled jumbo king prawns, which were marinated in a special sauce and then flamed with brandy on our table. I went for my favourite dish, the everreliable massaman lamb curry which never fails to satisfy. We splashed out on a pad Thai and noodles too. The food was all the best of Thai cuisine, exotic spices appealing to all the senses.
Thai upon Thames has a well-stocked wine list, including a selection intended to bring out the individual flavours of the food. There is also a choice of Thai beer such as Singha.
Service throughout our meal was impeccable, with our waiters attentive and on hand to do the utmost to make us feel special.
