Bugis Street Brasserie

Bugis Street Brasserie

Chinese and East Asian

0.5 miles
Courtfield Road, South Kensington, SW7 4LH
Adjacent to the four-star deluxe Millennium Gloucester Hotel in South Kensington, barely a minute's walk from Gloucester Road underground station, the Bugis Street Brasserie offers superb Asian cuisine in relaxed surroundings. The team here is knowledgeable, friendly and expert at what it does - providing an exotic dining experience in the heart of London.

The Brasserie is named after a vibrant area of Singapore; the lively, colourful feel of the real-life Bugis Street is reflected in everything here, from the ambience to the menu. The latter features Cantonese and Singaporean dishes, created using classic ingredients and techniques but proffering hints of contemporary flair. Bugis Street Brasserie's dishes are renowned in London's discerning epicurean circles, and it's not hard to see why. The Singapore laksa is worth a visit alone - it features thick vermicelli with succulent seafood and chicken in a spicy coconut soup. Refreshingly, anything hot is labelled 'spicy' on the menu, so there'll be no fiery frights for those with delicate palates.

The value for money offered here is legendary too; an express lunch (soup of the day, main and dessert) costs just £7.95 per person. They also serve an unmissable Sunday buffet (a delicious alternative to a family roast) and vegetarians are catered for as deliciously as everyone else. If you can't quite make it to the real Bugis Street, head to this Brasserie - it's doing its namesake proud.
