Babylon at The Roof Gardens
Set high up on the seventh floor of The Roof Gardens, offering amazing views of London’s skyline, Babylon really is a cut above the rest. Guests can make the most of the stunning vista and dine al fresco on Babylon’s heated terrace and enjoy a delicious fresh seafood menu.
The restaurant can accommodate everything from an intimate dinner to lunch with friends. The private dining room is ideal for parties or meetings of up to 12 guests, with its own terrace overlooking the resident flamingos. For larger groups of up to 30 guests, a stylish, semi-private area can be booked. Babylon can also be hired exclusively for dinner and cocktail receptions for up to 120 guests.
Your tastebuds will be thrilled by the varied menus. The award-winning food at Babylon is best described as contemporary British and the menus change regularly to ensure only the freshest seasonal ingredients are used. All meat is sourced from British farms, and the drinks list features a range of UK-produced wine, beer and cider. From the à la carte menu, the confit chicken and potato terrine, and white onion and Aspall cyder soup are great ways to begin. Next up is the marinated and grilled celeriac, served on buttered baby spinach, a sweet potato girolle with smoked paprika and chilli, and the roasted Scottish cod. End on a sweet high with burnt poached pear accompanied by cinnamon streusel crumb, yoghurt panna cotta and blackberries, or the heavenly chocolate delice paired with sea salt and mint ice cream. Kick back after your food with a cocktail or two. Offerings include Papa Don’t Peach – bourbon, peach purée, apple and lemon juice and sugar syrup – and Green Eyed Margarita, which is a refreshing mix of avocado and ginger shaken with tequila, lime juice and agave syrup. On Friday and Saturday evenings, guests can go to The Roof Gardens’ private members’ club on the sixth floor to continue their evening.
Babylon at The Roof Gardens is a sky-high venue. The memory of mouth-watering cuisine, exceptional service and spectacular views will stay with you long after you have left.
