The Railway Tavern
The Railway Tavern is a beautiful 1930s pub whose original features have been lovingly restored by its owner, who is passionate about returning old boozers to their former glory. The pub features a vintage skittles table and a gorgeous copper-hooded fireplace at the back of the pub, as well as antique model planes hanging from the ceiling. The place has a wonderful warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, yet is light and airy in the summer. The menu boasts fantastic homemade traditional pub fare, as well as quality burgers, home-smoked gourmet hotdogs and a tempting tapas menu, and the smashing Sunday lunch is always popular. A good range of draught ale, craft beer, lager and cider are on offer alongside the excellent wine list.
With a weekly diary packed full of themed evenings including a pub quiz on Tuesdays, a vinyl night on Thursdays and a Prosecco night on Fridays, you’re sure of a fun-filled evening. The friendly and courteous staff will ensure you won’t be waiting long for a drink. The beer garden has been redesigned and replanted and is a lovely place to soak up the sun with a cold beer or home-infused strawberry gin and tonic. In short, the Railway Tavern is a great place to meet friends, relax, and enjoy yourself, and is no doubt one of the best pubs in Crouch End.
