The Hand & Flower
This elegant pub and hotel is located in the heart of buzzy Hammersmith, within easy reach of major transport links and opposite Olympia Exhibition Halls. The historic establishment was opened in 1822 by Edwin Hand – a notorious figure in the infamous Quality Street gang, famed for targeting the valuable silk ties and jewellery of the Victorian gentry. However, today’s visitors will find The Hand & Flower a reformed and delightful place to spend an evening. Nowadays, the appeal lies in the excellent food served and the wide range of Fuller’s cask conditioned ale. Why not pair a refreshing pint of Frontier craft lager with one of the delicious light bites such as the grilled flatbread with Parmesan, artichoke and spinach dip? Alternatively, indulge in a plate of pan-fried bream served with Jersey Royal potatoes, chorizo and herby tomato salsa, followed by a decadent helping of sticky toffee pudding.
