Chinese and East Asian
Having worked for renowned hotel groups such as Sheraton and Landmark, Thai Eighteen's head chef has honed his craft using traditional Thai cooking techniques. He uses only fresh ingredients and natural flavours (there's no MSG here), meaning you can dine safe in the knowledge that everything you enjoy is the real deal. All the favourites feature on the menu - tom yum soup, Thai dim sum, traditional red curry and pad Thai. There are superb versions of classic dishes, alongside salads such as spicy beef salad, Thai-style seafood salad or papaya salad, stir fries like basil leaf, garlic and chilli, or oyster, curries in seafood, duck, beef, chicken, pork or vegetable variations, and delicious soups too. A great way to try something different is to put your trust in Thai Eighteen's hands and opt for one of the set menus. For dessert, indulge in ice cream from the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset; it's just divine and is gluten, additive and colouring free. Wines are supplied by Liberty Wine, who offer services to many top London hotels and restaurants, and the coffee is made from the same Siena roasted beans used in Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in Paris. It is clear that just as much thought goes into the sourcing here as it does into the cooking and excellent service. With a takeaway and delivery service available too, there really is no excuse for eating poorly again.
