The Duke of York
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
2 St Ann's Terrace, St John's Wood, London, NW8 6PJ
The Duke of York is a great pub that serves great food. The buzzing atmosphere entices some visitors to relax and chat, drink in hand, while others choose to sample the pub’s delicious fare. There’s a dedicated dining area with 40 covers, but patrons are also welcome to dine in the bar area, where the full menu is available and table service is provided. Over the years, The Duke of York has garnered quite the reputation for serving top-notch food, all of which is made in-house. The team is particularly well regarded when it comes to their delectable steaks and scrumptious homemade burgers. Mouth-watering options include the 8oz bison fillet and a chicken and chorizo burger, plus a range of pub favourites. These are made daily on-site and include the likes of fresh cod and chips, sausage of the day paired with mashed potato, and a daily changing pie. If your appetite is more peckish than ravenous, select from the snack menu – the chicken satay and Japanese-style prawns are particularly popular. There are special offers throughout the week, from a burger special on Monday to a steak offer on Wednesday, while Sunday’s roast dinner draws in a crowd. Accompanying the food menu is a fabulous selection of ale and lager, in addition to an extensive wine list. The venue boasts south-facing seating outside, where dogs are welcome during the day, making The Duke of York a great place to stop off after a walk. A free private room is available for parties of up to 20 people.
