Proud Cabaret

0.5 miles
1 Mark Lane, City, Central London, EC3R 7AH
Modelled on a 1920s speakeasy, Proud Cabaret offers guests the chance to enjoy superb cuisine and entertainment in surroundings which exude the illicit glamour of a bygone era. The venue was expertly designed by Russell Sage Studios and Danielle Proud, and has a chic, vintage feel that is matched by the glamorous staff, who dress in resplendent 1920s regalia.

In the style of a retro Hollywood supper club, guests can enjoy cabaret, jazz and burlesque acts as they eat superbly executed British cuisine from Michelin-trained chef Finlay Logan. His food is as delightfully decadent as the venue itself - expect starters like flavoursome beef carpaccio served with artichoke crisps and winter truffle mayonnaise; mains like grilled stone bass stuffed with brown shrimp butter, with salt-baked beetroot and salsify sauté; and indulgent desserts including Valrhona milk chocolate fondant and dark chocolate ganache. If you're after a quality tipple to accompany your meal, you could choose one from the extensive wine list, or perhaps have one of the bartenders concoct a yummy cocktail for you. There's also an informal bar menu, which features delicious light dishes.

As well as the fabulous cabaret acts, Proud Cabaret also hosts evenings by famous promoters, featuring live bands and DJ sets, which continue long into the evening. Whatever the occasion, this retro gem is the perfect place to party the night away in style.
