Devonshire Square, City, Central London, EC2M 4WY
Devonshire Terrace is an all-day bar and brasserie in the heart of the City, located just a stone's throw from Liverpool Street Station. Designed according to the Bauhaus theory of flexibility and 'utilisation of all space', it is a captivating and appealing venue. Inside, there is a chic restaurant and bar, as well as a number of private dining rooms, each boasting its own private balcony. The heated terrace under the glass atrium - a unique feature of the restaurant - is available all year round, creating a dynamic alfresco dining experience. The head chef has produced a modern and eclectic European menu to match the design of the restaurant. The selection is varied and flexible, allowing guests the chance to order a quick bite to eat or create their own dishes. Favourites include goat's cheese soufflé, or 28-dayaged rib-eye with Muscat and Stinking Bishop sauce. To finish, why not sample a fabulous pudding such as the DT Mess, a light white chocolate dessert with chunks of homemade shortbread and raspberries. An excellent selection of prestigious Champagnes and elegant reds crown the wine list, but if your budget won't stretch to a Krug Clos d'Ambonnay 1995 at £3,333, try one of the house offerings from just £15. For something a little more fun why not go for a cocktail; all the old favourites are available, along with Devonshire Terrace specialities such as the Devonshiretini, a sumptuous treat made with Grey Goose, lychee juice, lime juice, Passoa, sugar syrup, raspberries and passion fruit. With its beautiful, inventive design, top-notch food and never-ending list of beverages, Devonshire Terrace is a great choice for lunch or dinner with a difference
