Exclusive and tucked away, Mews of Mayfair is a suave four-storey restaurant found in one of London's intriguing historic courtyards. The converted mews house dates back to the 18th Century and has links with the tailors of Savile Row. Founded by London entrepreneur James Robson in 2006, Mews of Mayfair has since built itself a highly respectable reputation. Each of Mews' four floors has its own theme, atmosphere and personality. On the top floor the chef's private dining room boasts prime views of the kitchen and a glimpse into Britain's glorious past, with walls papered with a collage of stunning antique maps and a majestic chandelier hanging overhead. It works perfectly for parties of up to 40, as well as meetings and presentations, offering surround-sound, wireless internet and a hidden 50-inch screen.

The first floor hosts the main dining room and provides an intimate fine-dining experience. Once seated here you can indulge in beautiful modern cuisine, such as a starter of warm Ragstone goat's cheese with beetroot and toasted hazelnuts. Dine on a main course of pan-fried cod, crushed celeriac and thyme jus, and try the pear and apple crumble with spiced ice cream for dessert. Of course, thanks to the Mews' commitment to sourcing fresh produce, the menu is often subject to seasonal change. On the ground floor lies the cocktail bar, which is furnished with leather sofas, Queen Anne chairs and an impressive 18th-Century chandelier. Along with signature spirits, fresh-fruit cocktails and afternoon teas, the bar also serves light dishes like a Rustichello ham and Dobbiaco cheese toasted sandwich, or chorizo with smoked paprika and crème fraîche. Next to the cocktail bar lies the art gallery - an expansive area that's ideal for parties of up to 60 guests.
