Pierre Victoire

0.5 miles
5 Dean Street, Soho, Central London, W1D 3RQ
Pierre Victoire prides itself on serving delightful, excellent-value meals, just steps away from the theatres along Shaftesbury Avenue. This is a great place to go if you're a theatre-goer and want a quiet meal before or after the show. Be warned though, as the delicious food will have you returning to Soho again and again.

You can pop in for an early lunch or dinner and choose from the two-course set menu (£8.90 until 4pm or £10.90 until 7pm). But don't worry if you miss out, because the à la carte offers equally fantastic French fare at equally superb value for money. Begin with fresh rock oysters on ice with shallot vinaigrette and all the trimmings, or perhaps deep-fried Brie with sweet and sour beetroots and watercress salad. The main-course selection is an alluring list of French fancies - meat-lovers will adore the pressed shin of lamb with smoked aubergine purée, Parisienne potatoes and an onion and mint marmalade, and vegetarians won't feel hard done by when the likes of zucchini and dill pancakes, stuffed with spinach, ricotta cheese and pine nuts and served with lentil and salsify sauce, arrives at the table. Just make sure you save room for the exquisite desserts.

Naturally, Pierre Victoire offers a comprehensive list of wine from around the world to complement your food, and in the evenings a live pianist adds a delightful background to your meal. Whether you're heading to see a show, or your meal is taking centre stage, you'll leave Pierre Victoire with a smile on your face
