Offering delicious food and drink, excellent service, and an experience unlike any other, this Farringdon restaurant should be on everybody’s bucket list.
Inviting diners to eat and drink in pitch darkness, Dans le Noir? goes above and beyond normal dining. Helping to facilitate the unique sensory experience on offer is the intriguing menu, which provides only basic information about the food, with three colour-coded options to choose from: green (vegetarian), red (meat), and blue (fish). I went for red, while my veg-loving companion opted for green. Food is served in sittings so after choosing, we were introduced to our blind waiter, Trevor, who confidently led us through the darkness to our table, and delivered with precision three delicious courses and a wine fl ight to match.
Part of the fun of this place is not knowing what to expect, so it wouldn’t be right to list all of the dishes we enjoyed. What is worth saying, though, is that we had a fantastic time exploring familiar and exotic flavours and textures, and thoroughly enjoyed guessing the components of each dish.
Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7.30pm, enjoy a silent socialising experience at Dans le Noir? Otra Vista Social Club. This unique bar concept will introduce you to sign language, so you can order your drinks at the bar and meet new people. Dans le Noir? is a must for all.
