Odette's Restaurant and Bar
130 Regent's Park Road, Primrose Hill, North-London, NW1 8XL
Over the last 30 years, Odette's has been recognised as an iconic restaurant; set amongst a parade of mid- Victorian shops and cafés in stunning Primrose Hill, it has been attracting illustrious patrons from the worlds of art and theatre for over three decades. Winner of four stars from Time Out, and a Square Meal star, this restaurant has been receiving a great deal of attention recently. Chef proprietor Bryn Williams' modern British cuisine is an innovative marriage of textures and flavours which utilises the finest produce from his native Wales, around the UK and Europe; including Salt Marsh lamb, venison and chickens from the Rhug Estate in North Wales, and halibut and scallops from Scotland. Bryn is a great believer in using British produce wherever possible, creating food that reflects his personality and heritage, and giving a distinctive edge to his perfectly executed dishes. In 2006 Bryn competed for Wales in the first series of the Great British Menu on BBC1. Bryn triumphed with his fish course, pan-fried turbot with oxtail and cockles, which he went on to cook for the Queen's birthday banquet. Odette's Restaurant serves lunch and dinner six days a week in the classic surroundings of the dining room, where guests can enjoy dishes such as whipped goat's cheese, pickled beetroot, Regent's Park honey, pine nuts; or braised beef, onion, broccoli, almond potatoes; and custard tart, poached rhubarb with ginger. Odette's also offers a great-value set lunch menu at £14 for two courses and £18 for three courses. In the summer months diners are welcome to dine alfresco in the charming surroundings of the Odette's garden. Sunday lunch at Odette's is a Primrose Hill ritual, where families and friends can come together over meals such as Welsh lamb or Welsh sea trout. The Sunday lunch menu is £20 for two courses and £25 for three courses.
