Reggie's Caribbean Cuisine
Reggie’s is an intimate venue, which offers a warm welcome to all who visit. This little gem is family owned and run, with friends and close relatives helping to make this establishment shine. The close-knit team make Reggie’s something special, offering up both delicious cuisine and a homely atmosphere.
The food here warms the heart and stimulates the senses – it’s unpretentious and well executed. On our visit, we tried several typical Trinidadian dishes, intent on sampling the breadth of the mouth-watering menu. Salt cod fritters were golden and light, and boasted a wonderful kick thanks to the fresh chilli. The rich and tender oxtail fell straight off the bone, having been cooked to perfection. I’d return to Reggie’s just to sample the curry mutton again, and I’m certain my partner feels the same about Reggie’s jerk chicken, which was juicy and flavourful while also packing a decent punch. Only a fool would skip dessert, especially when the menu includes delights such as homemade coconut ice cream and mango sorbet.
Despite being a novice when it comes to Caribbean cuisine, the food at Reggie’s was undeniably delectable, and we will definitely be returning soon.
