Little Bay - Kilburn
Little Bay is a cosy restaurant with bags of charm thanks to candlelit tables, attractive lamps and glamorous interiors, though the easy-going atmosphere will make you feel chilled out in no time.
The upstairs restaurant is like stepping into an opera house, with hidden tables reminiscent of theatre boxes, swathes of velvet fabric and murals adorning the walls. After friendly staff warmly greeted us, we were escorted to our table where a basket of fresh bread quickly arrived. The menu is tantalising and abundant in choice. We chose grilled marinated vegetables with feta and balsamic dressing, and braised pig’s cheeks with onion mash and smoked bacon to start. A sizeable specials menu accompanies the great-value à la carte, so you’re guaranteed to find something to match your mood. The main course of lamb two ways, accompanied by potato gratin and delicately spiced aubergine, is a firm favourite and was our choice after much deliberation. If you’re feeling indulgent, the apple cake and white chocolate and pistachio parfait are great dessert choices.
Little Bay is a fantastic find, and if you dine here, it’ll be clear to see why it has stood the test of time for 25 years.
