The Cross Keys Hotel is housed in a beautiful 650-year-old Grade II listed building that's one of the most important pieces of historical architecture in Saffron Walden. Having been fully restored and renovated in 2012, it now offers home-from-home comfort in this picturesque market town.

The hotel has six wonderful en-suite bedrooms in the main period building, alongside three luxury boutique bedrooms in the charming Cobblers Barn. Guests will also appreciate the extravagant duck down mattress toppers, crisp bed linen and range of creature comforts such as state-of-the-art espresso machines, flat-screen televisions and free Wi-Fi.

In the restaurant's kitchen, food is cooked using fresh ingredients under the supervision of head chef Ian Gunn. The kitchen team are extremely passionate about the food they serve, ensuring everything is created fresh on the premises and contains only the best produce from regional suppliers. Dishes are simple yet carefully considered and the chefs treat their ingredients with care and cook using classic techniques.

The Cross Keys Hotel is also a wonderful place for a getaway. For an especially memorable and romantic stay with that special person, enquire about the Champagne package, which includes flowers upon arrival, indulgent chocolates and Champagne on ice
