Church Road, Corringham, SS17 9AT

The Bull is one of Corringham’s oldest buildings, with a history that stretches back to the 1600s and includes tales of smugglers. Now it’s a beloved pub at the heart of the local community that offers superb food, an excellent pint and a great base for socialising, be it for a midweek catch up after work or a special occasion.

The menu has something for everyone. Start with a hearty dish like the mushrooms simmered in crème fraîche and topped with Cheddar and Parmesan – it’s a delectable dish that really showcases the talent of the kitchen team. For something a little different, plump for the chicken tikka skewer. There’s a main course to suit every appetite, whether you’re just in the mood for a light bite – we recommend the chicken fajita wrap and the Greek salad – or you’re visting for a full three-course feast. The escalope of pork tenderloin, served in creamy tarragon, white wine and mushroom sauce, is one of the most popular main courses, and it’s easy to see why. Equally popular are the minted lamb and halloumi burger served in a toasted brioche bun with skinny fries, and pub classics like hand-carved ham, egg and chips. There’s a children’s menu, and plenty of choice for vegetarians – thank goodness nobody has to miss out at The Bull.
