Harpenden House Hotel, 18 Southdown Road, Harpenden, Hertfordshire, AL5 1PE
Harpenden House Hotel recently unveiled an all-new dining experience - The WinePress Restaurant. At this chic venue guests can sample great food, wines and spirits, and enjoy an atmosphere that is nothing short of stylish.

As you step into the restaurant, you can see that diners are clearly excited about the grand changes that have occurred at the hotel. The decor is the epitome of elegance; gaze upwards and you will see a large chandelier hanging proudly from a Renaissance-style ceiling. On the ground level the tables are arranged in a manner that ensures you never feel crowded, and that your experience at the restaurant is an intimate and unforgettable one.

Dishes at The WinePress include Bury black pudding, potato purée, poached egg, devilled sauce and roast breast of Goosnargh chicken, bacon, watercress, bread sauce and rustic fondant potato. As the name suggests, wine features prominently in the restaurant. The wine list has been developed by James Hocking, wine director at The Vineyard at Stockcross, and it offers the diner over 40 wines and Champagnes by the glass.

The WinePress Restaurant offers impeccable, unstuffy service along with delicious comforting food prepared with Michelin-style precision. Unbeatable.
