4 Market Place, St Albans , Hertfordshire, AL3 5DG
Situated a mere stone's throw from the historic Clock Tower, The Boot is one of St Albans oldest pubs. The building was erected in approximately 1420 and would have seen the War of the Roses' Battle of St Albans taking place outside its front door.

Serving up dishes such as pie of the day, a trio of sausages on a bed of creamed mash, and a chilli con carne with a reputation of its own, The Boot's intention is to provide excellent, traditional pub food. Their team of chefs, under the tutelage of Fiona Dulake, work to create homemade dishes on a daily basis utilising a combination of local ingredients and sustainably sourced produce. Puddings are popular at The Boot and the cheeseboard proves the perfect finale to a delicious dinner. They also have an extremely popular Sunday lunch menu, which always results in a full house. The Boot can be found in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide year after year and they offer eight excellent hand-pulled real ales and three real ciders.

If you're looking to enjoy a delectable meal, or simply want to relax with a drink or two in a real piece of St Albans history, then The Boot is the place for you
