Milton Park Thai Restaurant
Chinese and East Asian
From the wall decorations to the tablecloths, the restaurant exudes a sense of authenticity from the moment you walk into the dining room. The friendly and knowledgeable waiting staff explained the concept of E-San cooking and advised us on the spices used in each dish. The dishes on the menu range from fiery to mild, so every preference is catered for.
The prawn tom ka soup, a creamy lemongrass soup generously laced with succulent prawns, is a deliciously aromatic starter. My companion chose the fishcakes to start, which were packed with flavour and beautifully presented, with the chilli sauce providing a perfect complement to the rissole-like textures. The red snapper E-San curry I chose for the main course really set my tastebuds alight - the tender pieces of fish served in a clear spicy sauce provided an intense taste sensation that lingered deliciously even after the last mouthful was swallowed. There are also plenty of traditional Thai favourites, including green, red, massaman and panang curries which are available with chicken, beef, pork, vegetables, red snapper or prawns. The duck with tamarind sauce certainly did not disappoint either - the vegetable garnish was a work of art, while the succulent duck cooked in a mild, slightly sweet tamarind sauce really brought out the rich meat juices.
Anyone spending an evening at the Milton Park Thai Restaurant will be guaranteed to receive fantastic food, authentic flavours and great service. A Thai dining experience you'll never forget.
