The Six Bells
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
The Six Bells, situated in the heart of the quaint village of Fulbourn, is steeped in history and dates back to the 15th century. Its timeless charm is characterised by open fi replaces, wooden beams and exposed bricks, topped off with friendly service. Real ale is high on the agenda, as is the fine fare, so quench your thirst at the well-stocked bar before pulling up a seat in the bar area or heading through to the light and airy dining area.
The Six Bells specialise in local game and fish and the menus feature British, home-cooked food, made using the best local produce. For example, some of the vegetables are grown in Horace’s garden less than half a mile away. You can’t go wrong with classic prawn cocktail or homemade seasonal pâté for starters. You’ll have a hard time choosing a main course, with tempting options like wholetail scampi, the chef’s signature chilli con carne, and Bell’s bangers and mash – not forgetting to look at the specials board for more tempting options. For a lighter bite choose from the selection of sandwiches, steaks, burgers and omelettes. The pancakes with maple syrup and sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce are just two mouth-watering options from the dessert menu.
Parties can be held in the function room, while various events take place at The Six Bells throughout the year. When it’s sunny, head to the pub’s spacious garden. The Six Bells is the place to be all year round.
