Dating back to the 16th century, The Plough at Duxford is a traditional village pub with a thatched roof and abundant character. With historic timbers and a warm open fire, The Plough provides a homely environment for visitors and locals to drink, dine and relax in. Along with traditional pub games such as darts, cribs and dominoes, The Plough boasts a great range of real ale, real cider, lager and wine and has been named CAMRA Cambridge Cider Pub of the Year. It’s no wonder this country pub is treasured locally, thanks to its fantastic food and friendly service.

Everything on the menu is freshly prepared, home-cooked and served throughout the week. Whether it’s a tasty sandwich or ciabatta at lunchtime, a delicious charcuterie board to share, or a three-course evening meal, there’s always something on the menu to satisfy your craving. To start, choose from the likes of homemade country terrine, served with The Plough’s own onion chutney and fresh, toasted bread, and hot-cured smoked salmon in a rocket and lemon sauce. For a hearty main, you might plump for the Tiger Beer-battered catch of the day, accompanied by hand-cut chips, homemade tartare sauce and peas. Owing to the pub’s popularity, booking is advised to avoid disappointment. The pub is available to hire for functions and can offer outdoor bars and a marquee.
